I grew up in Mityana where my parents were avid farmers. I was 18 when I began accompanying my mother to agricultural training offered by Hanns R. Neumman Stiftung (HRNS). Over the years, my interest grew, and I was promoted to become a passionate and self driven youth who was passionate about agriculture. As part of my growth pains, I warned farmers about the risks involved with the unsafe use of agrochemicals. Learning about how agrochemicals can bring harm to useful living creatures in the environment because they contaminate the surrounding soil, air, and water bodies. So, to minimize the risks associated with the misuse of artificial chemicals in farming, I decided to come up with an organic alternative after joining Jangu international for an entrepreneurship training which gave me the potential, skills and platform to identify social problems and come up with solutions that fit the problem. This prompted me to come up with a social enterprise called EverGrow Organics.
